Help Build the STEAM Pathway
NESC’s work grows through partnership, participation, and community support. Whether you are a school, community organization, funder, employer, family member, volunteer, or supporter, there is a way to help young people access hands-on STEAM learning, makerspace experiences, climate awareness, and career-connected opportunities.
Partner With NESC
NESC works with schools, community organizations, public agencies, workforce partners, funders, and program providers to make STEAM opportunity more connected, consistent, and useful for young people and families.
We are especially interested in partnerships that support youth programming, makerspace learning, climate justice education, workforce exposure, family engagement, and community-rooted learning.
Attend a Coalition Meeting
NESC convenes partners to share information, align resources, identify community needs, and build a stronger STEAM ecosystem together. Coalition meetings are a way to learn what partners are working on, explore opportunities for collaboration, and help shape the pathway we are building.
Monthly coalition meetings are open to partners, community members, educators, agencies, and organizations interested in STEAM access, climate justice, workforce pathways, and youth opportunity.
Support the Work
Your donation helps NESC build reliable STEAM pathways for young people across Portland through hands-on programs, makerspace access, community events, and partner-based learning.
With your support, youth can make, code, design, repair, experiment, and build confidence in emotionally safe spaces with trusted mentors and real tools.
Find Programs and Events
Looking for STEAM programs, camps, or makerspace events? We help families find opportunities through NESC and our partner network.
Some events are hosted by NESC. Others are listed through partner calendars that collect STEM and STEAM activities across the region.
